2015 ACT Volunteer of the Year Awards
TADACT was awarded both the ‘Community Care and Health Award’ and the ‘ACT Volunteer Team of the Year Award’ at this event.
2011 National Disability Awards
TADACT successfully took out the award in the ‘Social Inclusion’ category at the 2011 National Disability Awards. TADACT was the only Canberra-based organisation to be nominated as a finalist on the night. The social inclusion award recognises schools, universities, employment and training providers, and advocacy services that have enabled equal participation of people with disability in a range of areas in life.
2010 Australian Institute of Project Management Awards
TADACT was awarded the ‘ACT Not-For-Profit Organisation Award’ for the design and construction of our Kinetic Walker. The Kinetic Walker was designed by a physiotherapist to teach children with cerebral palsy to balance and also to prevent hip dislocation. The Stander can be used whilst the child learns, eats and plays. This has changed lives as many children with cerebral palsy can now take part in activities and engage with other children.
